'''Liverpool Football Club''' is an English football club, that is located in Liverpool, UK. Liverpool currently play in the [[English Premier League]] and are one of the most successful clubs domestically and in Europe. They typically play in an all red kit, but played with white shorts until 1964.

Liverpool was founded in 1892 and joined [[The Football League]] pyramid a year later. The club was founded after a dispute between local rivals [[Everton]] and the landowner of [[Anfield]]. After [[Everton]] moved to [[Goodison Park]], [[Liverpool]] were formed.

[[Anfield]] has been the club's only ground in their entire history and dates back to 1884, 8 years prior to Liverpool's foundation. In 2002, due to restrictions on the expansion of [[Anfield]], Liverpool made plans to move to the [[Stanley Park Stadium]]. A number of years later it was decided Liverpool would remain at [[Anfield]] after years of speculation. The decision came after they decided extend [[Anfield]] to a 60,000 all-seater stadium.

The club had a huge level of success between the 1960s and the early 1990s. This period saw them win various titles and in the 1970s and 1980s along they won 11 league titles and seven European trophies.

Liverpool's main rivals are their city neighbours, [[Everton]]. The games between the two clubs are referred to as the [[Merseyside derby]]. The rivalry was established from the early days of Liverpool's foundation, due to the disputes between [[Everton]] and the owners of [[Anfield]] in the late 1880s.
