Manchester United Football Club are an English football team that play in the English Premier League. the club is nicknamed The Red Devils and play their home games at Old Trafford in Manchester.
The club are best known for their recent domination of English football. Since the foundation of the English Premier League in 1992. The club as been crowned Premier League champions in X seasons. During this period, Manchester's manager was Sir Alex Ferguson.
From 1992 onwards, the club had a short period where a number of notable youth players were promoted to the senior squad. These included, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes and also Gary Neville. All four players went onto make a number of appearances for United, with Giggs becoming the record appearance holder.
Alex Ferguson over the next 20 years became United's most successful manager.
Manchester United are known for their local rivalry with Manchester City. The two clubs are the two main clubs located in Manchester, United Kingdom. Other notable rivalries are with Leeds United and also Liverpool, mainly due to the geographical distance between Manchester and the two cities.
In recent years, United have been known for their global support. United are one of the mot popular European clubs in Asia.
